Booking of the BBQ area is available seven (7) days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The outdoor lounge/BBQ area, including the BBQ, must be cleaned by the Resident within one (1) hour after the Resident’s use (cleaning can be done from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.).
The rental fee for the BBQ area is $50 per booking. Subject to availability, each strata lot is permitted to no more than one (1) booking per day, with a standard time slot of four (4) hours. A Resident may, subject to availability, request an extension of up to two (2) additional hours at a rate of $10 per hour. Any booking exceeding six (6) hours requires prior approval from the Council. A damage deposit of $500 must be submitted to the Concierge Team prior to the booking.
A Resident is responsible for cleaning the BBQ grill and BBQ area after their use. Any cleaning required because of a user’s failure to comply with this requirement will be charged for cleaning $50 per hour.
Reservation of the BBQ area will be accepted up to one (1) month in advance of the requested date and only one future booking can be made at a time under one strata lot.
Use of the BBQ must be booked in advance. Please contact the Concierge Team for the reservation services.
Cancellation will be accepted in writing in advance to the Concierge ONLY.
The Concierge Team reserves the right to cancel any bookings due to severe weather conditions or concerns related to life safety.
All commercial/business gatherings including non-profit organizations shall be deemed a commercial function and will be subject to prior approval from the council.
No smoking/vaping permitted in the BBQ area.
Any inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated; the Concierge may request the individual involved to leave.
A Resident or visitor must not cause loud noises in the Outdoor Patio/BBQ Area so as to disturb the quiet enjoyment of the adjacent or nearby strata lots by the people in them. The Concierge and the strata manager are hereby authorized to expel from the outdoor lounge/BBQ Area anyone who, in the sole opinion of the concierge and the strata manager in violation of this rule or the bylaws.
A Resident who books the use of the BBQ area must be present at all times for the duration of the booking.
A Resident using the BBQ must:
(a) clean the BBQ after they use it, including cleaning up the barbeque grates of any dirt and left-over food debris;
(b) never leave the barbeque ON unattended at any time.
(c) make sure the GAS SUPPLY VALVE is turned OFF when done cooking;
(d) turn OFF the BBQ when done cooking by turning the control knobs to OFF;
(e) in case of suspicion of gas leaks, notify the Concierge immediately;
(f) use the BBQ at their own risk.
All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 19 when in the BBQ area.
Without limiting the generality of bylaw 41, a Resident is responsible for any loss, repairs, damages, and cleaning costs associated with their use of the BBQ area.
Residents must vacate the room at the end of the reserved time. Overtime use may result in fines and/or suspension of amenity use privileges.
