Cards & Mahjong Room

1. The Cards & Mahjong Room are available for Residents use between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. daily and must be vacated by 10:45 p.m. For the private reserved use, only two bookings can be accepted per day.

   
   

2. The Cards & Mahjong Room are for Da Vinci & Picasso Residents and their guests only. All guests must be accompanied by a Resident at all times.

   
   

3. All equipment for the Cards & Mahjong Room must be signed out through the Concierge before 8:00 p.m., and return to the Concierge staff after use. If the booking Resident fails to return any of the sign out equipment, or any such equipment is returned damaged, the strata corporation may deduct the cost of repair or replacement, as applicable, from the damage deposit.

   
   

4. The rental fee for private use of the Cards & Mahjong Room is $50 per booking. Subject to availability, each strata lot is permitted to no more than one (1) booking per day, with a standard time slot of four (4) hours. A Resident may, subject to availability, may request an extension of up to two (2) additional hours at a rate of $25 per hour. Any booking exceeding six (6) hours requires prior approval from the council. A damage deposit of $500 must be submitted to the Concierge Team prior to the booking.

   
   

5. Full payment of the rental fee and deposit are required within 48 hours of making the booking online.

   
   

6. Reservation of the Cards & Mahjong Room will be accepted up to three (3) months in advance of the requested date and only one future booking can be made at a time under one strata lot.

   
   

7. Cancellations will be accepted in writing to the Concierge ONLY.

   
   

8. Alcohol consumption is permitted within the Cards & Mahjong Room ONLY.

   
   

9. The maximum number of persons permitted in the Cards & Mahjong Room is 19.

   
   

10. Without limiting bylaw 41 as applicable,

    (a)The Resident making the booking will be responsible for any damages to the Cards & Mahjong Room including damages to the furniture and equipment;

    (b)If the Cards & Mahjong Room is not cleaned to the satisfaction of the Concierge by 10:00 a.m. the following day, a minimum cleaning fee of $200 will be deducted from the damage deposit.

    (c)any theft, loss or damages, as assessed by the Concierge staff shall be deducted from the damage deposit provided and if the total theft, loss or damages exceeds the $500 damage deposit provided, the booking Resident shall be billed accordingly.

    
    

11. Music is permitted but must be kept to a reasonable level as determined by the Concierge on duty.

    
    

12. Noise must be kept to a reasonable level as determined by the Concierge on duty.

    
    

13. No food preparation is permitted in the Cards & Mahjong Room. Light snacks are permitted.

    
    

14. All commercial/business gatherings including non-profit organizations in the Cards & Mahjong Room shall be deemed a commercial function and will be subject to prior approval from the council.

    
    

15. No smoking/vaping permitted within the Cards & Mahjong Room and Common Area of the Level 4 Roof Deck.

    
    

16. No children under the age of 14 are permitted in the Cards & Mahjong Room without supervision by a responsible person 19 years or older.

    
    

17. No pets are permitted in the Cards & Mahjong Room.

    
    

18. A Resident is required to clean up the Cards & Mahjong Room after their use and return furniture to its original place.

    
    

19. Residents must vacate the room at the end of the reserved time. Overtime use may result in fines and/or suspension of amenity use privileges.
